What's in store for Wednesday, August 28, 2024

The summer has been great. What a joy it is to spend Wednesday nights with your students. As school routines begin, I hope faith will remain a high priority for your student. Wednesday night youth group will continue as we finish our study of Genesis (3 more weeks) and launch into the Gospel of Mark. Another way they can grow in their faith with students here in Lisbon is through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at school. FCA begins meeting tomorrow at 7 AM. We meet in the school library most Wednesday mornings, and students don't have to be athletes to attend.

Now for tomorrow night, August 28th.

FOOD:

Tacos, chips and guacamole, cookies, lemonade

FUN:

The heatwave is due to break tomorrow but will still be warm. We will stick to inside activities.

FAITH:

We are in the heart of Joseph's story. He has been on a remarkable journey. Joseph has been betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and taken far from home. This week, we'll see how he remains faithful in the face of temptation, hardship, and blessing, demonstrating how we can live as faithful people.
