Preparing for a worship gathering is an effective way to get the most out of the experience. Tomorrow, at Uncommon Church Lisbon, we continue our exploration of the Sermon on the Mount. Our text is Matthew 6:1-18. Could you try reading the text a couple of times and ponder what Jesus is saying? We'll have a better conversation tomorrow if you do! 

Here are a couple of things to look for and think about. 

How might generosity, prayer, and fasting help develop us into people who live with forgiveness, purity, faithfulness to God, and love for others?

Try and identify faithfulness to God, forgiveness, and purity in the prayer Jesus teaches.

Notice the pattern of motivation for these practices. What are the results of doing these things for people? What are the results of doing these things for God?
