King Saul is faced with three questions to structure the chapter: Do you know your people's history? Do you know God's character? Do you remember that God is the KING? The chapter compares and contrasts Saul and the Amalekites and leads to the lesson that Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow leads to death.
