This week, we are "setting up the hillside" using Matthew 4:12-17 and asking the big question: are we ready to hear and respond to the teachings of Jesus? Matthew uses the message and mission of John the Baptist, the tale of two kingdoms, and the flow of God's story to help us prepare to hear Jesus' kingdom manifesto, the Sermon on the Mount.
