Matthew 5:1-6

In the first four of the eight Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:1-6, Jesus is extending an invitation to the various people gathered on the mountainside. People from around the region and various world views are coming to him spiritually poor, mourning the difficulties of life, feeling like they have the strength to offer, or pursuing healthy spirituality. Jesus declares that wherever those people find themselves, they are welcomed into His kingdom, and so are we!
